What her clients are saying:
Ann:
“Hannah is willing to explore, try and fail, keep what works and move on.”
Marion:
“I appreciate Hannah’s expertise with how the body moves while guiding it towards its optimum performance and mitigating risk of injury along the way. She is very conscientious and up to date with the newest information in Pilates and guide each of her clients’ individually knowing every body is unique. Her commitment to continuing her studies with this discipline is quite remarkable! All of this with a warm personality that puts me completely at ease. I leave her class smiling and my body moves so freely!”
Amanda:
“I’m more connected to where my body is in space and often am still entertained with how my mind is trying to digest the movements asked of my body. I always leave classes, thankful for having attended because they’ve helped ground me.”
Anne:
“Hannah is a very intelligent, thoughtful and curious teacher, whom I trust to watch me and carefully think about the quality and efficacy of movements she gives me. I have seen her grow in knowledge and skill over almost the ten years I’ve worked with her, and can’t imagine not having her in my movement life. She has helped me and guided me, even on days when I’m a bit ornery, days when I feel so out of alignment that I get a bit frustrated. Then and always, she is very positive and seeking to help me improve my alignment so that I can move better throughout my day. She is a very special person, and we’ve never had a lesson without learning and laughter. I feel so lucky to have her in my life.”
Christine:
“When I was searching for a Pilates studio, I knew I wanted to learn the right way—not just to avoid injury, but to truly get the most out of the practice. Working with Hannah has been everything I hoped for and more. Early on, I came in for a session the day after spraining my ankle. I could barely hobble through the door. Hannah tailored the entire session to avoid stressing the injury—we focused on seated and lying-down work, emphasizing shoulder and hip stability. By the end of that hour, I was stunned. I stood up, bracing for pain... and it didn’t come. My ankle felt 80% better. I walked out with an ease I couldn’t believe. It was one of the first moments I realized just how powerful—and intelligent—this work really is. Since then, whether I’ve come in with a sore shoulder, a headache, or just a rough day, Hannah always knows what to do. I consistently leave feeling better than when I arrived. Her deep understanding of the body and the mechanics of movement is extraordinary, and her passion for what she does shines through in every session.”
Char:
”Hannah is at her best every time I see her which is twice a week. She is always pleasant & happy. She try’s to adapt the exercises to each client. I’ve firmed up & strengthened my body. I’m also limber for someone my age. I’ve been working with Hannah for a number of years & because of her knowledge & sense of humor I keep going to her classes.”
Mary:
Hannah has particularly helped me with my own body image struggles after being a dancer for so many years and then being a mom. She’s helped me reframe the entire practice of Pilates, and it’s so much more beneficial to me now internally. It helps my anxiety, the breath work feels so much more authentic. It feels like a time to honor my body instead of a time for me to like be “more fit or be strong.” Yes of course I am getting strong, but during that process of gaining strength, it’s really my own journey. I’m not falling into a comparison trap as much as I used to.
Ultimately, just being in Hannah’s class has opened my mind in a new way because Hannah‘s approach has further opened my brain to tactile information and sensory input and imagining my body internally versus what the shapes look like and then also she’s helped me understand that Rome isn’t built in a day and Pilates really is an evolving practice. The way she teaches it’s not just about a fitness aspect like so many of these trendy Pilates studios are doing. It’s giving her clients a real opportunity to build a mind body connection That will ultimately give so many different health benefits to so many different people because she’s making it more accessible. The mentality of teachers like Hannah can shape our lifestyles outside of the studio also which is so huge for me at this time in my life”

“The thing I appreciate most about Hannah’s teaching strategy is how she has the ability to tie all of that knowledge with an empathetic, individualized method. Working with her has truly been the safest of all spaces. I love the way she not only makes a safe space for me, but also brings her authentic self into that space, which is part of why it is so comfortable. She has so many points of reference and is committed to finding what methods and what style of communication or cues work for what. Her patience, flexibility, and humor are key parts of your approach that I really value. Before working with Hannah, I am pretty sure that I never connected to my body. It was kind of just a vehicle I used to carry my brain from place to place, and I didn't *want* to connect with it due to trauma and chronic pain. Any attempted exercise in the past worsened my pain, and continued the disconnection. The most valuable thing I have gained from working with Hannah is the ability to acknowledge my body in a way that feels compassionate and realistic, and the ability to work physically in a way that doesn't seem overwhelming. Her approach is one that I've never seen anyone practice before, and it has really been life changing for me. My appreciation for her is immense.”
